Measure Drilldown at a glance
The Measure Drilldown consists of a patient grid that displays the individual patients contributing to all your measures.
By default, the rows are in descending order based on Encounter Date (i.e. the row with the most recent encounter date is at the top).
However, the rows can be reordered to ascending order (i.e. the row with the earliest encounter date at the top) by clicking the Encounter Date column.
The total number of rows can be found just above the Measure column in the grid.
Choosing Measure Scope: Practice, Clinician, and Year
In the top upper right-hand corner of the Measure Drilldown page, header selectors control the data you see.
Control | What it does |
Practice | Selects the practice (when more than one is available). |
Clinician | Selects the clinician (when more than one is available). |
Report year | Selects the performance year. Summary tiles and the
measure list refresh for that year. Note: Data for years prior to 2026
will only be available for the submitting entity (i.e. if you submitted as a
practice, we will have practice scores but not individual clinician scores). |
Show/Hide Columns
By default, the Measure Drilldown contains the following columns: Measure, Case Type, Patient Name, Encounter Date, DOB, Gender, Clinician NPI, Initial Patient Population, Denominator, Numerator, Denominator Exclusion, Numerator Exclusion, Denominator Exception, and Evaluated On.
On the left-hand side of the Measure Drilldown page, there is a button marked Show/Hide Columns. This button determines which columns will be visible on the patient grid.
Clicking the Show/Hide Columns button provides a dropdown menu window where the columns that display in the Measure Drilldown can be modified.
Unchecking the box next to column name will remove that column from the Measure Drilldown. Conversely, checking the box next to column name will add that column to the display. There is also the option the Select all and Deselect all columns.
Filters
The most impactful tool on the Measure Drilldown page is the Filter tool. The tool is activated by a button located on the far right of the page.
Clicking the Filter button will populate filters for most of the columns in the Measure Drilldown.
By default, the Measure Drilldown displays rows for all measures. However, by clicking on the dropdown filter for the Measure column, you can modify the grid to only show rows for a single measure (or for multiple specific measures).
The filters for most columns employ a dropdown menu with the following options:
- Any
- Meets
- Does not meet
- N/A
Utilizing these filters on specific columns will produce results such as:
- Patients who met the Initial Patient Population
- Patients included in a numerator
- Patients included in a denominator
- Patients excluded from the denominator
- Patients excluded from the numerator
- Patients with an exception from the denominator
The filter for the DOB column, on the other hand, has a calendar option that allows the entry of specific dates.
To clear all the filters selected back to their defaults, click the Clear filters button.
Export Data
Once the Measure Drilldown filters have been used to find the exact patient population you need, the results can be exported to a CSV file for offline analysis and reporting.
Click the Export CSV button to begin the exporting process.
The file with your filtered patients will then download to your computer.
