User Guide: Analytics Dashboard

User Guide: Analytics Dashboard

Info
This guide describes the analytical experience in the ACR RISE registry using the main dashboard where you analyze your performance trends as well as understand your numerator and denominators for all measures. In the application, this page is named Analytics Dashboard.

Analytics Dashboard

The Analytics Dashboard is your analytics home to provide insights into current performance and performance over time. You can:
  1. See practice-level, group-level (future enhancement), and clinician-level measure data.
  2. See how your measure scores are trending against the Rise and CMS benchmarks.
  3. Receive breakdown information regarding the patients in all your measures’ numerators (including total number of patients not receiving credit and the primary reason(s) for not receiving credit).
  4. See patient attributes for all eligible patients in your measures.
  5. Receive breakdown information regarding the patients in all your measures’ denominators (including total number of patients ineligible for the measure and the demographic and/or clinical reasons for ineligibility).

Access the Analytics Dashboard

To access the Analytics Dashboard, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the RISE Registry Website.
  2. On the left navigation menu, click Analytics Dashboard.

If you do not have an Analytics Dashboard option, please contact your Practice Manager.

Note: If you use bookmarks, the path is typically /dashboard/analytics-dashboard.

Choosing Measure Scope: Practice, Clinician, and Year

At the top of the page, header selectors control the data you see. They apply to the Your performance trends, Understanding your numerator, and Understanding your denominator for any measure you select.

Control

What it does

Practice

Selects the practice (when more than one is available).

Clinician

Selects the clinician (when more than one is available).

Report year

Selects the performance year. Summary tiles and the measure list refresh for that year. Note: Data for years prior to 2026 will only be available for the submitting entity (i.e. if you submitted as a practice, we will have practice scores but not individual clinician scores).

Select a Measure

Once the scope for your measures has been determined, the measure to analyze can be selected from the dropdown just below the scope selectors.

The measures are displayed in the dropdown by order or their shortname code (e.g. ACR12).

Once you have selected a measure, states related to your score, numerator, and denominator will populate below the measure dropdown.

If you select a measure for which no data has been submitted under your selected scope, you will receive the message: “No data available”.

Your Performance Trends

The first tab that will populate with data on the Analytics Dashboard is Your performance trends.  Here you can view how your score for the selected measure trends over time and compare your scores with those of the RISE average and CMS average.

Your score is represented by the yellow line, the RISE average is represented by the green line, and the CMS average is represented by the grey line.

These lines can be removed (and readded) by clicking on the appropriate ovals in the Select score comparator(s) box above the graph.

Actions

Beneath the graph you will see four buttons that provide additional actions regarding the Your performance trends tab.

Button

What it does

Download underlying Data (CSV)

Generates a spreadsheet (in csv format) with per month scores as represented by the graph. This file can be saved to your computer.

Download Current Graphic (PNG)

Generates an image file (in png format) of the Your performance trends graph for the selected measure.  This file can be saved to your computer.

 Download Measure Report   (PDF)
Generates a pdf file of the Your performance trends tab for the selected measure. This file can be saved to your         computer.

Understanding Your Numerator

The second tab on the Analytics Dashboard is Understanding your numerator tab.  Here you can explore the patients that did not meet the specific measure’s criteria.

At the top of the tab is displayed the number of eligible patients for which you have not received credit.

Primary reason(s) you have not received credit for these patients

This section provides one or more bar charts illustrating both the reasons why credit was not awarded as well as to how many the patients those specified reasons are applied.

Patient Attributes for All Eligible Patients

This section provides bar charts that breakdown the sex at birth and age of all eligible patients in the measure. Those that have met the measure’s criteria are presented in green; those who have not met the measure’s criteria are represented in red.

Understanding Your Denominator

The third tab on the Analytics Dashboard is Understanding your denominator tab.  Here you can explore the patients that were not included in the measure’s initial population.

At the top of the tab is displayed the number of available patients that were ineligible for the measure.

Primary reason(s) these patients were determined to be ineligible (by measure criterion)

This section breaks down why the ineligible patients were so designated.  The causes fall into two categories: Demographic Ineligibility due to Age and Clinical Ineligibility.

The Demographic Ineligibility due to Age is a doughnut chart. The portion of the population that does not meet the age requirement is represented in red; the portion that did meet the age requirement is represented in greed.  Also, the total number of patients excluded due to age is displayed red in the upper left-hand corner of this section (i.e. ‘16’).

The Clinical Ineligibility of the patients is represented by a series of bar charts. Each bar indicates the category of exclusion related to care activities as well as the number of patients that met that exclusion.  Also, the total number of patients excluded by these criteria is displayed in red in the upper left-hand corner of this section (i.e. ‘3,981’).
